a fabulous Christmas to all!

What would Fabulously Small be without a Christmas-scene? Well..., still Fabulously Small of course 😁, but I couldn't help myself and enjoyed doing a little Christmas-shoot again, and this is my 2024 'entry' I guess ;).

Aside from a few new items (the sign and the cake), nothing newly made but I really like how it turned out. Oh, I díd make the

look what I found (and made)! joy to the world, in 12th scale ;)

Do you like Christmas as much as I do? I love it! As well as a great opportunity to get out some things I had not yet used with some newly found and made items. I hope you enjoy!

how about the rustic coffee-table? It's a slab of petrified wood of which I put the unpolished side up for that natural look.
I couldn't finish the turning wheels (see my post Flower Hour), so I made easy legs for this scene (the are looped at the bottom)

holiday sparkle

Thank you for your continued patience regarding my blog. Not that you have much of a choice but still 😉 and I truly appreciate everyone here. For now I have some pictures of a simple miniature Christmas scene 🎄 I threw together, if only to

say hi and, whatever you celebrate - if anything, wish you wonderful (holi)days; especially in these weird times where

a tiny white world..

hi there! later than planned with the first Christmasday already more than halfway over (yes I know, the Netherlands is the only country - or one of the few countries - that have 2 Christmasdays :D) I'd like to share with you this miniature working snowglobe I made.

snow definitely not being a likelihood any time soon in the Netherlands, this Christmas I'll just enjoy the tiny white world within this snowglobe 😁. And a little video to go with it.

heppie holidees ! & little Christmaslantern-makeover

hi everyone! On the threshold of Christmas I'd like to show you a little holidayambiance, but hey, what's that? You've got mail!

have yourselves a mini Christmas

I made this christmasangel, isn't she cute? I made it from pearwood with aluminum wings and star, from the cup of a tealight. For the rod she's holding I first used the thinnest metal wire I could think of, but that was still só out of scale. And then I remembered the really thin wire (hardly visible with the naked eye) I once ordered which has the perfect thickness!

first photo's are without the star, that I made later, but didn't get the nice pictures as before

mantle

some progress on the mantle for the christmaslantern. I'm so thrilled about the rustic slate-appearance the mantle has, while I made it with fimo! (on the wooden base I made earlier, see my post on November 25th). It was not meant to and the idea was to make ornaments on the mantle, but I liked the slate appearance so much that I got working on the top, that I decided that was going to be it for the whole mantle, and I'll won't add ornaments. I will only add trimming.

just some things

there are some Christmaslanternthings I still need/want to show that I've had for a while and why not now? With the country covered in a blanket of snow, temperatures well below freezing and people skating everywhere in Holland, it might as well be (a white) Christmas ;)
just a picture with also a glance of the rocking chair this time (still very much in progress)

progress christmaslantern

A while ago I worked on the fireplace and the floor for the christmaslantern. Due to some things and internetissues never had a change to place photo's, neither of the other little progress I made. So here a bit of that now. Finishing the lantern in time for Christmas is not going to happen since I really don't have (and haven't had) the possibility to work on it often enough, but there will be more Christmasses right?

branch by branch by branch ...

... to finish the christmastree. Working on it, it doesn't seem to move along at all, although I do see progress in the end. Almost done :) I really like how the tree is turning out, it's a kit by the way from Silly Sisters, they have them in three sizes.

it's christmas!

No, I'm not confused or drunk (or both) and also still very much enjoying one of the last and few sunny summerdays of the year. But since a few months every now and then I'm working on (items for) a christmaslantern from which I'd like to show something. And therefore it's Christmas in my head... Some photo's of a not very christmassy lantern right now, but hopefully in december it will be.

progress so far (UPDATE: I changed the steps by now to let them flow better, makes the thing more as a whole and is much nicer than how it was here. I'll show pictures of that sometime) UPDATE2: have a picture of that here
