A great opportunity to showcase some things I haven't before, like the gorgeous pinkish-purple foxglove created by the lovely Carla Zandvliet I fell in love with at the Arnhem Fair in 2017 or 2018 (the plant, not the miniaturist 😉). The hamburger, tempting not just 12th scale people's senses but mine as well (you'll find a close up further in this post), is from the vèry gifted Tristatin (Etsy; looking up the name to be able to share here I just discovered they are no longer selling, unfortunately...)

12th scale park-bench picnic for one
A summery scene on a really nice summer's day, here in the Netherlands anyway. Taken by the Oldtique Store owner (who oddly has no name nor face, haha 😁) combining her visit to the park with some lunch.

flower-hour ;)
Hey there beautiful soul, how did you end up here? 😉 Some tiny flower-power (hence the little wordplay of the title) I borrowed from Mother Nature. As a prop to show a little something of what I haven't been able to finish yet, just as an excuse to have some fun shooting a couple of pics.

butterfly palm - tiny update..
hi again my dear mini-friends, sorry for the long silence! Not even visited your blogs, except for a few some time ago when I had the chance.. Not because I lost interest: I always LOVE to see what you're all up to and what wonderful things y'all make. But

"Grapenilla Exotica"
hi guys, thank you so só much for the very kind and warm comments on my last post. That had been difficult and a bit scary for me to publish: you're the best!
for now a mini plant kind-a-thing not resembling any type I know. After I'd eaten some grapes, I was looking at the now empty branches and they looked like parts of some sort of - unknown - exotic plant to me. And so I decided it would be that and I call it 'Grapenilla Exotica', get it, get it? :D

flowery laziness ;)
helleu my dear mini-friends!
it's not much and Mother Nature gets most of the credit, but I think it's something many of you can use as an idea and I just like to show.

branch by branch by branch ...
... to finish the christmastree. Working on it, it doesn't seem to move along at all, although I do see progress in the end. Almost done :) I really like how the tree is turning out, it's a kit by the way from Silly Sisters, they have them in three sizes.

not lazy, just smart ;) OR IS IT.....?
Plants and flowers, beautiful in miniature and really add character and realism to scenes, but I have to confess that I'm not very tempted to make them.. I would want to, but so many tiny leaves and to be able to make it all realistic, I was'nt keen on starting it in the near future. Then I saw some weeds between gardentiles that reminded me of a plant and thought: what if I can do something to make it stay green and let it pass for a miniaturehouseplant? And there a lazy-women's-method for miniatureplants was born.
