writables & Christie's mug

some props that will accompany my minilaptop. You don't think that laptop will ever come, do you? Ha, you wouldn't think so, but it really is, I promise.

what I cán show you is a little pen, two markers and a mug I made Or to start the scene with, as is maybe more the case ;) The writingpad I made a few years ago, just needed to flip the front over, torn out a few pages and add a 'written' page. It has notes about taxes, as that's also what the laptop is 'busy' with.

and with a small size match for reference
the pen was quite a hassle to make, but I love it a lot, just as the lifesize pen I made it after, with pictures of my love and me on it

the mug is something I thought would be fun. I don't think Christie's has mugs, but I thought the Oldtique Store should have something related to an auction house in it somewhere, and I figured a mug on the desk in the back would be perfect for that. I made the mug with two layers of thin modelbuildersplastic. What do you think of the gold lettering? I'm very happy with this mug, turned out better than I hoped.
and the bottom of course with logo!

  1. WOW! that mug is amazing... not just the construction, but also the paint job, it is perfect! And just the sort of thing someone would have on their desk with the dregs of cold tea at the bottom (or is that just my desk.....)

    1. Thank you Jonquil! Haha, I guess you're probably not alone in that, there must be countless mugs with cold tea or coffee on desks every day, I forget mine all the time. I'm sure it's even been researched, since lots of crazy/trivial things have been studied ;)

    1. Thank you Daria, yes, the big pen is with pictures and I used the picture for that to make the decal for the little pen. I don't think you can make out any faces on the tiny one, but stil nice right?

  13. Monique, you've done it again! Every time you show us what you've been up to, I think you can't get any cleverer - and then you do. Dying to see the laptop - I bet it even has a dongle!

    1. Thank you so much Chas, for your great compliments, make me blush, but very happy! I don't know what a dongle is (ah, now I do, google translater didn't know, but google images did ;)), mmm...., no, it won't have a dongle actually, but something else that might be interesting I think. And maybe, if I have time and still feel like it, I'll make a dongle!
